Thinking On A U-Turn After My Recent Disaster

This is the idea i have...

2 x Angels
Rams (how many?)
2 x Keyholes
Silver Dollars
colurful Platys
Bristlenose
5 x Cherry Barbs
10 x White Tip Tetras (like Rosys but nicer)
10 x x tetra (what would be good?)
10 x another x tetra

I have been mulling over Discus but don't really fancy the hassle.

What do you guys think? i'd have to rehome my Sec, Nic and female Convict

I spent alot of money on a really nice Rotkeil and on a Tapajo...in view of getting a group...and after about a month...both died in the same way...they both started not eating, then gasping at the surface, then both died.

Every single other fish in my tank has been fine...but its disheartened me to spend lots of money now/ buy monsters so im gonna stick to lil stuff thats cheap.

Not a clue why it happened, water stats perfect, temperature PH stable...the only thing i can think of is they both came from maidenhead...my Silver Dollars did to and both came with serious white spot which i cleared up.

Not a clue what happened...but its put me off, so im thinking for once...i'll stick to tiny stuff.

If that don't work out i'll either give up or spend a fiver on a Oscar.

I'm still doing my 50% weekly water changes and feeding good amounts and liek i said...no clue why they died (at the same time)

bolivian rams or GBR? you could probably keep a group or a pair

make sure you don't get small sized tetras, the angels would eat them

Emperor Tetra. Are so cool looking good size. That would be my pick.

Ok i just been on a mad shopping spree lol!

I popped into watermarque with no intentions and noticed they had a sale on on there fish.

Crazy sale!

Just bought 30 fish for £22

i got..

5 x GBR's
8 x White Tip Rosey Tetras (to add to the 5 i already have)
6 x Colombian Tetras
2 x Platys (already have 2)
1 x Black Molly
3 x Sword Tails
1 x Golden Ancistrus (already have 1)
3 x Corys
1 x Black Ghost Knife fish

I know the BGKF doesn't fit in..but hes 2" and he cost me around 70p....will just sell him on in a few months, to cheap to turn him down!

Anyway....busy tank lol!

Cant believe i got the rams @ 2" for less than £1 each...works out about 70p

Are they closing or something? In the US a German Blue Ram would be about 12 dollars ( E 6)and the BGKF would be about 10 dollars ( E 5)

No just bought in to many fish in there warehouse and needed to do a clear out

I worked it out like this

German Blue Rams = £6.95ea x 5 = £35
Platys,Mollys,Swordtails = £2 each x 6 = £12
BGKF = £9.99
Corydoras = £3.95ex x 3 = £12
White Tip Rosy Tetras (Bentosi)= £3.50 each x 8 = £28
Colombian Tetra = £3 each x 6 = £18
Gold Ancistrus/BN = £6

So i got away with £121 worth of fish for £21.95

Very pleased.

Obviously i cant keep it all, but I'll benefit in the long run out of it
