Thinking Of Changing To Malawi Cichlids

hi i am thinking of swapping over to malawi cichilds !
but what to do with my fish i have now

2x Large sliver dollars
16x neon tetra
2x snake skin Gouramis
4x blood spot tetra
2x gold gouramis
2x Dwarf Gourami
1x red tail shark
3x clown loache
2x Algae Loaches
2x angelfish
2x African Cichlids
1x plec
1x boot lace gourami

What of the above fish could I keep if I change over to malawi cichlids am going to change over cose i cant get my ph to come down its at
8 to 8.4 PH so don't want to stress the fish I have and ever one I have talked about my ph lvls say thay are to high for the above fish ?

Have tested my tap water and tank water and its 8 to 8.4ph so think malawi cichlids would be better suited !

as DON'T want to harm or stress the fish I have and have losted three fish over the last 2 days and am thinking about the others in my tank
called maidenhead aquatics to talk over my tank .
Ever thing is fine with my tank its just my ph is sooo high and the guy i talked to said that cichlids would be much better suited to my tank
with my ph lvls

SO WHAT TO DO WITH THE FISH I HAVE NOW ???

any help would be great !

If your fish have been kept in a high ph all their lives then i wouldnt worry about it.

my tank has only been up from 29-January 2011

and my ph lvl has been a pain from day one has been up and down
but after water comply have worked on the pipes around here it at stable 8ph now
have tested it for 3 weeks now and its been stable.

You've got a really eclectic mix of fish there. Personally I'd return the lot for store credit and if you choose the Malawi route, do some research on what you can add.

so am stuck on what to do with my fish ?
store credit would be best but what store is going to buy my fish think i will need to call around i think
was thinking about posting them on here to see if there is any takers

Have been goggling like mad about malawi cichilds but after I get my tank clear from fish
am going to sit down with the cichild guy at maidenhead aquatics and find out as much as I can
going to reset up my tank as need a sand base for the cichild and what to do for the rock hiding places
but things are starting to look up for my fish welfare !!!

Wander over to the cichlid forums. A wealth of knowledge over there.
