Thinking About Getting Celestial Pearl Danios

ive been tylooking at the lil fish and they are really ineterestinvc and cool looking im thinking about getting some for my 12 gallon,

currenlty i have 3 guppies, i was thinking about getting 3 more and having 6 guppies a few shrimp and a few otos or and apple snail.


now im thinking maybe i would just get 1 more guppy and 4 celestial pearl danios, a few shrimp and again either 2 otos or a apple snail

these are my tank parameters

the tank is in the middle of cycling

ammonia: 1ppm
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 0
ph: 7.6
temp: 78-80F

gravel substrate, with a few low light plants, java ferns, microswords and one annubia nana,a lil tufft of a plant i found outside my house that looks a lot like hemianthus cuba and a piece of driftwood

would these be a good enviroment to keep these fish? will they nip a the fins of my guppys?

Rather than thinking about more fish, get that ammonia down! 0.25 is toxic enough for the fish, nevermind 1!

Once it's staying at 0, then think about more fish.

I stocked my cycled tank with 6 CPDs and 6 endlers. I never saw the danios. Quick dart across the front of the tank every now and then and that was it. There was plenty of cover and they stayed in it. I struggled to feed them as they wouldn't come out, I tried all sorts. Eventually, they all died, along with shrimp and some of the endlers. Now I have 7 endlers and the tank looks a lot more lively than it ever did with the CPDs in. Maybe other people have different experience, but I thinking your guppies are like endlers, so maybe they'd be the same.
Off topic slightly, but have you read the stickies on fish in cycling? If you test and get a reading of 1ppm ammonia, you need to do water changes urgently to get it below 0.25, so 2 75% changes an hour apart I'd say. Then keep an eye on it. See how long it takes to get back up to 0.25 and do water changes that often

Now go do a water change. Or you won't have any fish in there st all
