Think In Losing My Boo =[

Just fed my fish, normaly my female guppy Boo is first out to gobble everything up she possibly can.
However today that hasn't happened =[ couldn't see her at all and eventually spotted her at the bank of the tank, she's still alive at the moment but just kinda wiggling and not actually swimming....
I've prodded her with a chopstick (not as brutally as that sounds) to see if she would flicker off but no =[
I've had her about 4 years and I'm absolutely gutted, I had her from a fry that got caught in the bag as I was getting males. She then got sucked up my filter when I had the Fluval Edge and I had to save her from inside there! She then went onto be completely harassed by the boys so because I loved her so much I got rid of them to please her!
She's been through it all and I'm so sad =[ I can't bring myself to euthanise her as I keep hoping she'll get up and swim off =[ xx

She's wriggling around at the front now. She's really bent now in her old age, she's been bending more andorra over the past few months. It's asif her spine is about to poke out of the top of her skin =[ she can't swim very well because of this anyway and I don't think there is much I can do for her in all honesty. Her back looks very sore so I may dose with melafix just to feel like I've tried to help her but I doubt it will do much =[ xx

aww that is sad, it's really sad when you know there's something wrong but you can't do anything. I recently had the same with flash my favourite platy. In the end I took Soybean's advice and I netted him out, put him in a jug with a couple of inches of tank water and covered him with a cloth and left him on the window cill. He passed away peacefully within about 3 hours. It felt like the right thing. I couldn't face killing him with ice or a knock to the head and I couldn't face the possibility of waking up to find him being eaten

I know, she's had a time of it like I say but overall she's been a very well looked after guppy!
I called her Boo cus she was so tiny when I got her so I named her after the little girl from Monsters Inc haha!
I can't bring myself to even do that Akasha, like I say she seems to be a little more normal and I would be devastated to think I had ended her life prematurely.
The way things are goin I'm going to have to completely re-stock my tank in the new year, all my golden oldies are suddenly deciding they've had enough!

Funny how we all look at things differently - a lot of my fish are about 6 years old and I wish they'd all suddenly snuff it, I want an African shelldweller tank and haven't the room for a new tank!

She's still hanging in there! Im still torn as to what to do but I'm glad I didn't do anything rash last night.
What does and African Shelldweller tank consist of? I've never heard of one before! Obviously African Sheldwellers...but what are they?!

Ahh! I miss my rams =[ they are the only cichlids I have had other than these baby angela that have been dumped on me! But I don't think the rams could take to my tank as they only lived a couple of months.
Why is it that my Boo has become so bent? I've read that it's common for livebearers but why?

I've always put it down to age and genetic problems like all the inbreeding.

rams are a sensitive species, if something is just the tiniest amount off of perfect, they croak
