Good day all, hope this thread finds you all well. So, it's now been 20 days since my Qualifying Week finished and the first (7 x R.C.S and 10 x Goldfinch Tetra) were added. I have played around with the tank a few times, plant wise, so here is a few pics of how it looks as of today;-

My tank, with stand, at night.

My 2 adult and 5 juvenile Cherry Barbs.

One of the Red Cherry Shrimp with Tetra fedding time in the backround.

For those with smaller tanks, here is my 30L corner Aqua One tank.

I am having a great time watching these fish. The best thing i have done with the Goldfinch Tetra is add 10 fake plants, it gives them the opportunity to hide away if they do so wish (which they do, alot!).The Cherry Barbs are fantastic to watch, they don't swim away when you approach the tank and seem to have some sort of 'chain of command' within their little shoal! One of the Red Cherry Shrimp was completely full with eggs one day last week, but i have not seen any eggs since (i'm presuming the Tetra had a midnight snack!).

Please feel free to add anything you can see that could work in a better way, i am still a relative newbie open to suggestions and comments.
Have a great day,
Terry.

Hmmm, decisions, decisions...tomorrow i have the chance to visit the LFS to get my 3rd lot of fish.... so, do i go for a shoal (12+) of Chilli Rasborra, or do i go with my original plan and get 10+ Cardinal Tetra? There is also the option of a couple of centerpiece fish, but maybe i should wait until my tank is a little more 'mature' for this...!!??!!??

Anyone have any recommendations?
Regards,
Terry.

So..it's been 2/3 weeks since my last lot of fish went in (i chose the Cardinal tetra, right choice as well!).

All parameters have been fine, fish doing really well and i'm getting so much joy out of this tank that i find myself switching off the tv some evenings and simply watching the tank!

I am ready for yet another lot of fish also. I would love a pair of Dwarf Gourami, but i have read they can be a little aggresive under certain conditions, NOT what i want in my peaceful community tank. Maybe i might go with 18 or Chilli Rasbora, i really haven't decided yet.

Weekly 40% W/C's bring the tannis down for about 3/4 days, then it slowly gets back to where it was before. Not a problem though, although my tank looks a little dark in the daytime, the fish really do seem to enjoy it.

Anyway, just a quick update, i shall include pics when/if i choose my next lot of fish.
Terry.
