I had two platys, 1 male and 1 female. I didnt get another female because the two had great chemistry and the male never forced himself onto the female.

But one day i saw both of them developing white patches so i immediately put tablets in to stop it. The next day they were both dead. I was devastated. So i put more tablets in.one day past and i baught a new plant.

As i was putting it in i saw one tiny platy fry. I put the plant in and changed the filter cartridge. As i changed the cartridge there was one more fry stuck in the filter, dead. So there were only two fry to survive the parents hunger and the ick epidemic. One fry died in the filter.

There is only one survivor and i am going to do my best to raise it and house it!

Lefty, ich never forms white patches. Ich is only ever seen as tiny white dots that resemble individual grains of salt. If you treated for ich, you used the wrong medication.
Please use the resources we have here to help you identify a problem so that it can be treated properly. The folks who hang out in the tropical emergencies section are fairly good at diagnosing an illness if you provide them with a clear picture and some description of what you are seeing.
