The Rottie Has Landed

Most likely just the stress of the journey, from the pic he doesn't look in too bad of a condition as colours are fairly strong

yeah hes basicly healthy looking as said in 1st post his caudl fin and extended tip of dorsal fin are a little untidy but nothing nasty i dont think he was kept in very good water to be honest . but now hes in my tank and i make sure i keep my water tip-top that will soon heal up. certainly wouldnt say it needs meds just clean water.

what im going to do over the weekend is my tank has 2 tubes im leaving both off until the morning then tomorrow just the 1 tube on so the lights are dim then sunday both tubes

im open to advice/suggestions as to what i can do to help him de-stress
Buy him a pint?

Like Davo said, he looks pretty good, so it's likely just the stress of a new environment, and the journey. Hopefully that's all it is.

since lights out hes come out of hiding more and has actually just taken a couple of shrimp.

Im sure he will settle soon, that was a heck of journey for him.

Ummm I might have some pics for you in a minute of something (or two) I treated myself to today :D

minx dont ask me right i have been wanting an EBJD for donkeys never got the chance so the time arose when i settled for a normal JD then that got soo aggressive i went for the tex then my mate said he could get me an EBJD now thats gone tits up im left with nothing but more ideas on what to get unless he suddenly gets a nice EBJD for me :)

thanks. thats just nelly being nelly  i said his snakeheads were butt ugly but cool at the same time so he's teasing me back. but we all know secretly he likes him

had the tank on lights out for a while now i got just the 1 tube on and touch wood he seems to be chilling out. hes swimming around and his pectoral fins are no longer clamped so touch wood he may be starting to settle slightly

Chuck some prawn in, that will perk him up :)

your tex is going for free minx ? why is that

He needs a larger home than I have for him, plus Im gonna get some of Nelly's channa's after much debate on which fish I should have :)

deffinately perking up a bit today has eaten and is a lot less shy. so jopefully now hes feeding i can start "conditioning" him to bring out his true potential. yesterday he looked terrible but today he seems brighter happier and is swimming around like lord muck.
