I thought I might try to start a journal on this tank as it's my first real 'big' tank. In reality it's only 4ft 200L, however it's definately an upgrade!

The tank

That's the tank I bought. I bought it second hand $400AUD, it came with an external Aqua One Aquis 1200 canister which still has a 12mnth warrenty on it. I thought it was coming with a heater, however there is no heater I did manage to pick one up for 50% less than the marked price so not too bad really.

It is currently underneath the house cycling as there's no room in the house.

Filling process

Terrible photo! Promise it looks better than that. I had some troubles with the filter to begin with as I've never used an external, however it was just a dirty/sticky impellor so all is going great now. I'm cycling it with matured media

I plan on going sand, planted with wood and rock pieces. Stocking is a little unsure as of yet. My Angel, m & f rams, long/high fin pepper corys and albino corys will be going in. I will put the dwarf gourami in and see how he goes, he hates the rams but I'm hoping with a bit more room he'll calm down
