The Never Ending Pregnancy

The silver is definitely pregnant. In the black molly picture only the last molly in the group looks reallly pregnant.

I think the one black one had babies but ate them One night she was huge.. the next morning tiny again.. I am still waiting on the other 2 girls to have babies.. Hopefully I will be able to get them in time!

I am please to tell you that I no longer am waiting for babies.. My silver Molly gave me 40 babies this morning.. I was soooooo excited!! She looks tiny now that all the babies have been born..

What's very odd is the Daddy is a silver sailfin and momma is a silver molly and most of the babies are dark grey! There are a few pure silver but it shoud be interesting to see what colours they all end up being.

Oh and to top things off last night my platy gave me 40 babies as well! Give or take. The little things move so quick I cant count properly.. LOL

what a lovely thread congratulations, im here waiting and checking my mollies and guppie who are both in nets so that i can save the babies ive never had molly fry before, tho i had 7 baby guppies born last night so im pretty excited, and have about 4 pregnant platys too, so pretty soon ill be over run with babies, but awwwwwww what a way to be over run eh?

Congrats Mollygirls. I had the same thing hap-pen with my creamsicle molly. When they were first born lots of them had spots like they were going to be dalmatians. In fact this is what they looked like on day 1.

By day 33, you can see that the basic creamsicle color had taken over and covered the spots pretty effectively.

It may work the same way with the silver color.

my sliver mollie had babies nout 3 weeks ago mow and babies started out very dark. nearly grey in colour but now they are 3 weeks old the are all silver like there mother
