The lizard impressed the fish store dude...

I did indeed impress the fish store dude I was chatting with him while he was netting my fish and told him that I was going to wait on getting Neons because my Neons had just spawned. He said he's never had anybody come in and tell him that their Neons had spawned and that he was impressed (or something along those lines). He was also impressed when I told him about the lfs guy who could net something like five Khulis in under 30 seconds

As for new fish, I got another Pepper Cory (he has niiiiiice, long barbels!) and two Khuli Loaches (finally! but don't tell my husband!). I also got a Giant Vallisneria plant. When I stuck my hand in the tank to re-arrange plants and such, one of my Otos swam to my hand and started "sucking" He didn't stay for long though...guess there wasn't enough algae there for him! I did some plant re-arranging and such. The tank is slowly getting the way I want to, as far as plants and arrangement and such.

Ooooohhh! And I found a fish store that sells used tanks, filters, hoods, air pumps, etc. I got a hood (minus the light strip) for my tank for $2.19! Each part was ninety-nine cents! (They sell the top and the "door" for feeding separately, for ninety-nine cents a piece.)

I think my cousin and I went to three fish stores today! We had fun!

That's the latest here...

I need to go wash a mountain of dishes It's been a rather busy week, so dishes have not been high on our priority list Silly dishes...

That's amazing about the fish store that sells used equipment. You probably couldn't even beat those deals at a garage sale.

Thanks for the comments, cutechic! I'm enjoying my new fish. The Otos are enjoying the Giant Val. I see the two Khulis a lot more than I expected I would. I thought they'd bury themselves in the sand and never come out when I was around. Instead, they hide in the plants, and do come out sometimes. They're still kinda shy, though.

I'll post pictures sometime. Things have been busy around here - not much time for fishy stuff, other than feeding the fish, of course.
