Do You Find Guppys Easy To Look After?

I have never had any luck with guppys here in the midlands.
They just seem to last around 2 months and then die.
I have tryed everything (water tests fine) loaches are well and so are my mollys.
I just had enough of guppys now and moving onto platys.

I'm exactly the same Nick, although I do like Guppies there are times when I say enough is enough but always end up buying more.

I think I may try a species only tank as some have suggested above, I've only got a 20 gallon community at the moment but am planning to get something in the region of a 10-15 gallon in the next couple of days but having thought about what to stock it with yet.

I think part of the problem with a lot of guppies, is they're so widely bred, often with no thought of selective breeding to ensure good health, that they don't live their full lifespan.
I'm down to 2 now,& when they go, I won't replace them.
I do have some of the offspring though that are doing well

Well i did jump the gun!
Now i have moved all into a nice species tank around 8-9 in a 54L i know its over stocked but a few are still babies and the tank is over filtered and plenty of air in there too. I did loose one right away but so far they have all settled in nicely and should do very well i hope.

Also i did lower the temp too which also i think has helped most of all! :good:
