Yippee! The first lot of platy fry have arrived! Most of them have made their way right across the tank (dunno why the mum wanted to have them right next to the filter lol, on the diagonally opposite side to the plant shelter  ) Theyre so tiny! Thought they would be bigger, dunno why
Anwyay, gonna try to get this new tank set up and working, see how we go. In the meantime they'll have to fight in the big tank!

You could always get a breeders net for them :)

That is a nice picture FC. What are you doing with some kind of worm in a fry net? They certainly won't be able to eat them. Instead, feed your fry some flake food crushed to a powder between your finger tips. two or three flakes crushed that way should make plenty of powder to feed all of your fry. If you want to feed once live food to the fry, buy some frozen daphnia for them. The daphnia are small enough that fry will easily eat them. If you have fallen into the trap that I have of always having microworms on hand, they will also be readily accepted by the fry and make a great treat while you are using that crushed flake as the mainstay diet.

i had put a few of the bloodworms in when i gave them to the others, not knowing they couldnt eat them  live n learn eh ;) theyre not in there now though. i did give them a tiny bit of crushed flake, they werent really interested though. will try again before i go to bed. they sell daphnia at my lfs, so will get some tomorrow. thanks :D
