Let it be settled then that my tropical fish forum tank shall be of 50 litres and contain the following aquatic specimens...

1x Male Betta Splendens (blue/purple)
4x Dwarf Corydora
6x Neon Tetra

The other Equipment will be...

1x interpet AV1 air pump connected to a 4 inch airstone

1x fluval U2 rated for up to 110 litres at 400 litres an hour, i will turn the flow rate down however. It was a u1 originally but i read some bad reviews on it saying that it was the worst of the U line and i opted for the next model up.

1x Hagen Elite 50Watt Heater

Substrate Will Be...

A Fine Gravel Substrate and will Be Black

Plants...


2x amazon sword
1x (forotten its name but it has a red underleaf)
2x grassy stuff
1x big broad leaf stalky thing

Ornaments...
1x small bit of driftwood

Are there any forseeable problems with this setup (and yes i will turn the filter down so it doesnt blow the betta around)

oh and by the way, the tff has actually designed this tank so i thank everyone who posted in my topics for this tanks features (except for the filter, i kinda took that into my own hands lol!

just another thing, it would have been bigger but i only had a 48 litre tank spare so i caled it 50 and decided to let the internet design it! It worked!

I wont ever be getting elodea again though after the rate it grows at lol!

You need to thik of what kind of setup you want regarding plants. If you wanted a low tech setup and have a low level of light then plants like Anubias, Jave Fern, most Mosses, Crypts, Vallis etc will all do well. If you want to go high tech with high lighting, ferts and injected Co2 then ask in the planted section as it is above me as i am very low tech.

All the fish you want do best in a planted setup.

the airator has been changed. The tff is re designing
