Thanks For All The Newbie Information!

WoW! what a brilliant forum, since joining I have been trawling through a heap of really brilliant information and have found answers to most of the questions I have already thought of. Have also saved a lot of cash and grief-well those Knifefish looked pretty cool in the shop... and a common Plec looks soo cute at half an inch!LOL.
Anyway, I have a 30l Biorb, in which 2 Cherries, 2Glowlight Tetras 2 Neons and 3 Endlers have been living for a couple of years, (despite my obviously inept fishkeeping knowledge!) and have recently (6wks) set up a 65 l tank which, until this morning had 4 Zebra Danios in it, I decided that I would prefer to have a set up with more smaller fish, so took them back to my local ifs, I will now start transfering my Bioorb stock to the new tank-(they deserve it bless them) -not all at once tho! I also thought that I could use the Bioorb to quarrentine new fish until I'm stocked.
I know that Biorbs are no good for catfish/Plecs because of the under gravel filtration and ceramic media, etc, but if I put some flat stones on the bottom would they be OK for a week or so?-I have a couple of Julli Corys put by, with my name on them!
Both tanks are now being regulary tested (poor Bioorb babies had not had a test since I set up the tank 5 years ago for Goldfish! and having trawled through the site here and had several panic attacks, I was at the shop at dawn the next morning for myAPI kit!) and the stats are fine, although I have a lowish pH at 6.4.

I agree.

I have learnt so much since joining this forum and I am really looking forward to setting up my tank now. I was before too but I was worried that there was so much that I didn't know about. The beginners centre has sorted out those worries though.

I will make sure I add loads of pics of my progress once I start the tank up.
