So, wuv, where can I locate info about where, exactly, this will be, times and all that nice info? Is there a fee just to look around, or just to enter a betta?

Just get on 121 to the William D Tate exit, from there go to 114 North and take the Kimball Ave exit It's easy to find, probably about 40 minutes from where we're at. Oooh, it'll be awesome if you come by

I fear I'm going to be buying a lot of new tanks after the show, lol... actually I think I'll go sell my college books from last semester back to the book store early tomorrow so I'll have some extra spending money

I plan to at some point this weekend, I'm not sure when, and I've got my new boys in from Thailand. So far, they're doing well, but I want to keep a close eye on them, so I'm trying to not leave them alone for more than a few hours at a time. Still, I may make it up on Saturday, and I'd love to know a little more about the hours for the auction on Sunday. I might have to cave in and add to my collection...as if the tank cleaning isn't time consuming enough, as it is.

Awesome! I was hoping you were still coming. I don't know how well my kids will do. It seems they handle it badly when they're hand carried I'm gonna bag them up tonight just so they're good and pissed by tomorrow!

I might even toss them around in a box a bit

Alrighty Home again, home again (hee hee, I used to always say that to my kiddo when she was a baby, what a flashback)

I'm proud to say the show went well. It's not over as far as I'm concerned because I still have a ton of paperwork to do, not to mention getting all of those boxes back to the PO tomorrow Now that I think about...how on Earth am I going to do that? I think I'll need a huge wagon or something

Aaaanyway, it was pretty awesome. I got to meet Synirr and Falcon I also had Linda Olson there on Friday and Saturday and I have to say she was one of the biggest helper I had all weekend She sat there with me logging in fish from 7 at night until 2:30 in the morning and she never complained once.

This guy from Singapore named Marc was there, he hand carried the hobbiest & commercial fish over and he was awesome. He was from the Team Betta Bite and it was really interesting for us to hear of how they judge over there and for him to assist Jim with judging over here.
Over all, I think we rawked

One of my ittle bittle metallics won novice best of show, and took first in a class with over 15 fish in it Jim had no idea whose fish they were when he was judging the class (as usual) and I was up the next aisle taking pics while he judged novice and I heard him say "Well this little guy just won himself a spot in first" and I just KNEW he was talking about one of my three metallic kids. They're such show offs and that's what got him the BOS too

By the way, Jim popped in on Friday while we were setting up. As I was heading out to get more boxes I stopped to say "hello" and that it was good to see him again and he instantly started talking about my article in Flare. He thanked me for writing it and said he'd been using silver for a couple of months now and his water was never cleaner and his fish look better than ever ) It was quite flattering )

Even though this is the only show I've ever been to and I therefore don't have anything to compare it to, I think you guys did a great job -- and I'm not just saying that because I made out like a bandit . Everything seemed to go really smoothly. Next time there's a show, let me know... I'd like to help out if I can

Sounds like so much fun! I'd love to meet other betta enthusiasts in person. And look at those bettas!!!!! They're just gorgeous. I've never seen bettas like some of those guys.

Wou, Congratulation on your babies again, Kelly! See! We all told you to put him into the show! Yeah!! Finally done and it sound so smooth. It does have a lot of fun when looking at the pictures.

OooOh you DID get him! I wasn't sure where he went, for some reason I thought that girl who came in late with her dad took him. There were so many beautiful fish it was hard to keep track You have to post pics of the rest of your newbies soon. Mine are still sitting in a bag I'm too lazy to get up and clean out those 2.5 gallons. But I'll get to it in a minute. By the way, I was sitting at the desk counting money,minding my own business and I was handed a pair of simplex that are in the SMP and told that they were my responsibility Talk about pressure. Jinkies. So now I have them AND the smaragdina. Craziness. By the way you may be sorry for volunteering We're thinking of another one in the fall

It really was fun,you guys I wish everyone could have come. It was a LOT of freaking work, but now that I've had a chance to sit down and ponder...it was really cool. And thanks for the congrats,Ember. He did me proud

during the auction when those Singapore fish were being sold. I knew you'd love so many of them. The selection was entirely different from our district show.
Yeah that's me in the pic ) Wally and I were so tired. I only slept two hours the night before and I was a walking zombie with fish for brains But we still had a good time. Today was great but we bickered amongst ourselves quite a bit

It was a great show! I only made the auction, but I got to talk with a lot of wonderful betta enthusiasts and brought home two beautiful little girls that will help start my all female tank. Hopefully, I will be picking up the tank this weekend from a wonderful breeder nearby that has several tanks she is giving away. I am so glad that I went, now.

It was great getting to meet wuv, unfortunately I missed synirr. I look forward to the next one in the fall.
