Tetratec Aps400 Failed!

Long story short, both diaphragms split. Found 2 in the box, so have replaced them, but air production seems massively reduced compared to when I first bought it.
Also if I lower the air stones more than half the depth of the tank, no bubbles are produced! (even tried putting the pump on top of the tank and REALLY shortening the tubing.

Its only 3 months old as well, so will need to try and get a refund.

So... Which is the best type of pump to go for? Rena? Eheim?

i have always found tetratec to be by far the quietist around and very reliable.... maybe you just got a duff one! did you run it with nothing on the end as this can damage them...? i also have an eheim and its quite noisey compared to the tetratec and i had to send 1 back as it just got louder and louder, i got a new one in return but its not as quiet as my tetratec

No it had 2 air curtains on the end. Just failed one day!
