Hello,

I was just wondering how a tetra would react if it was put into a pond?

Probably much the same as being put into an aquarium.  But to get at what I suspect you are actually asking...temperature is the principle issue here, as in northern climates except in a warm summer, pond water will be too cool for most "tropical" species.

As you're based in the UK I would expect any tetras put in a pond wouldn't last very long due to the low temperature of the pond water, probably even in the summer.
