Tetra Tank Dilemma

Quick explanation

I have just been handed a just under 25 gallon tank a long time ago and it has been in storage. Late last year i set it up and it has since then been cycled and has 6 cherry barbs in.

My question is this i have always wanted a tetra tank that is just tetras

I will probably keep the cherry barbs in it but whoch should i do?

10 Rummy Nose Tetra and 10 Cardinal Tetra

Or 20 of one of them ?

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!

i think 10 of each would look cool but them shoaling together would annoy me haha

I know what you mean about the mixing.
Alot of people say that the bigger the tetra shoal the more impressive it looks, but i cant help thinking that a tank that size with only one type of fish in might look abit weird

i think it would be intresting to see a large shoal of tetras in action it would look alot more natural and im sure they would be very active as they will feel really safe

I have one one mid-water schooler in a 55 gallon, and it looks fine; I think 20 of one is better.

Get 20 Rummy Nose's, Penguin Tetra's. Glowlight Tetra's, Neon Tetra's, Cardinal Tetra's, Black Neon Tetra's...
Loads to choose from lol..

I have my tank up and running with 50 Cardinal tetras in it.....and they look GREAT!

Even with the lights off, you can still see their colours shining in the water!

As the tank is next to the door, when someone comes in, they all swim to the other side, turn together, and then swim back in the hope that they will get fed! When they turn, they seem to vanish as their colours are only visible from the side!

Cardinals all the way!

Wow, I've never been a fan of cardinals or neons, but they look beautiful in those pictures!
