Tetra Ex1200 And Fry...will They Survive

hi folk, my red top just spat her fry and im a little worried that my ex1200 might suck them up. at the moment they are hiding under rocks and have come out for a little crushed flake. looking at my ex1200 intake it has small slats on the filter end which the wee fry could fit through, do you think they will be wise enough to not swim through? dont realy want to loose them, been hoping for fry for weeks

what you can do is get some netting (i'm planning on cutting up one of my old fish nets) and stick it over the intake
