That seems to be all that's around here aside from JBL Biotopol, has basic use and not too many added things to it. But it does have something related to helping fish recover from wounds.

I used it once. It seemed ok, but it was expensive as it did not stretch very far. I then switched to prime, which is much better and a bottle lasts for ages.

It's cheap in the short term though, as I cannot find prime around here and I'm not so sure about JBL one, as it has too many things that might annoy my fish. It would be ok if it can stretch for at least 1-2 months.
I'm not sure about Tetra one either, but I'll get it as soon as my new tank arrives, along with test kits.

not many shops stock Prime (I've only ever seen it once and that was in Norwich).

it's readily available on eBay though

I know about eBay, problem is that I cannot use the money from bank account directly without a debit card. And I'm not quite sure why, but people don't like my bank's debit cards for some odd reason (something about hidden fees). They told me it's free when I asked at the bank though.

I'll try the Tetra one, but I hope it won't bug my fishies.

It will be fine. They needed a dechlorinator badly. I think your fish are about to be so happy when you can start treating their water.

I hope so. I just hope the substance won't cause them allergy or something, I'm so close to getting them a bigger home.
They'll be even happier when they'll get more space. But I have to wait 2 days till I get their aquarium (couldn't find anything longer than 85 cm, a 76 liter/20 gallon long tank, but the dimensions should be somewhat good to allow them both swimming and turning. (85x30x30)) That's pretty much all I could order, other option would have been to do it myself and make a bigger one but I'd have to wait 2 weeks with that other silicone.

Just paid the first part of the money, awaiting the order and I'll give the dude the rest of the money when he'll bring the tank. But do I have to wait few more days before I can finally start decorating / filling it? (just to be on the safe side). If so, how long?

Your dechlorinator is just fine FishBlast. All of the normally available dechlorinators use sodium thiosulphate as the active ingredient. Prime and most of the others use that same thing so they all work about equally well when used as directed. Prime is a special case, since it is sold in a very concentrated state, but it contains the same darned stuff. The thing that really helps heal wounds is plenty of fresh water. Any competent dechlorinator will give you lots of safe water changes to keep your water pristine.

I'm saying that it says that it has some ingredients in it that help heal.
Dad didn't get it for me yet as I wanted to ask first (just so I don't make a mistake).
Here's what it says it does:
Works efficiently in a few seconds to neutralize chlorine, chloramine and limestone.
Helps fish heal and offers protection.
Can be used for fresh water and marine.
It's a leader on the USA market and offers protection to fish for over 35 years.
I'll get it same day with the new tank, as I don't know where dad was when he saw that. He wasn't at the pet shop I know.

They all make claims that cannot be substantiated by any real evidence. Some claim slime coat enhancers and all kinds of things. Some even claim things like an extract of Aloe vera for gosh sake. As long as you get a good dechlorination and do plenty of water changes, your fish will heal and thrive.

So it's all just to make you spend more money on something that doesn't really do much or anything at all. Lol. Thanks.

And can I use sand that can be found near the park's lake around here? I don't know where to get play sand, but it would be ideal too. I need fine sand. Searched over the internet but cannot get an accurate response as to what shop sells sand, just companies which will deliver through post. -.-

Sand can readily be used as a substrate. I use a coarse sand in almost all of my tanks. When I set up a new tank, I look at what my LFS is selling. Lately that has been a product ordinarily sold as sand blasting sand. It is rather coarse, which I prefer, and it is fairly reasonable in price too.

Well, I want the finest sand I can get (something similar to that nice beach sand I had before). Would be awesome if I can find something yellowish-brown (but not painted) or at least white.

Also, some time in the future, can I add a second (tiny) Hoplo to the tank or my one is already pushing it to the limit in a 20 gallon / almost 3 foot tank? Note that I don't want any schooling fish, I keep swordtails.
Right now they are a pair, not sure if I should add another female or just let them have fry and keep 3 fry. My female was aggressive towards another female before and I've separated that one but she died. So adding a second swordtail female might be a risk even in a larger tank.

I will be testing the Tetra Aquasafe Dechlorinator today on my 23L. This will help me know if it works and the fish will not get any bad reaction to it. Dad also got 2kg of sand so that I can see the sample. He said it's white and fine.
And ammo test kit. I can finally know what's going on (to an extent) in my small tank and see if it improves or changes in the new one later.

I put 5 ml (according to how much was used from the bottle) of Tetra Aquasafe in my 10L bottle and the water turned blue. How long do I have to wait and what happens if I'd put too much in it?

I used 5ml according to the line that shows the substance in the container. Could be a bit less than 5.

Update: Tzuppy seems much more perky now after using the dechlor. He keeps his fin high and immediately started looking for food on the floor. Swordtails are also more active.

Testing tap water with the ammo test, so far seems at 0 too. Will test some old pool water from my turtle's pond since she doesn't use it. Should have at least a bit of ammo.
