My one male Cherry Barb seems to have decided he owns 3/4 of the tank. Any time he catches the others approaching the middle he very aggressively chases them back. It doesn't look like he nips them, just chases.

Now the other male seems to have claimed the plant on his 1/4 of the tank and often chases the females away from it. He's far less aggressive about it than the other male.

The poor females don't have anywhere to hang out!

I'm not really sure what to do. Are they still just settling in and will eventually sort it out amongst themselves?

The agressive male is the dominant one. It just nature & nothing to stress about.

Thanks, I figured it was probably something like that but I've never kept Barbs before. I'm planning to totally re-aquascape the tank with sand soon and I'll be adding some driftwood and probably more plants and perhaps a cave. Give them a few more places to hide.

As long as no actual harm is done, and as said above, it is nothing to worry about :)
