I woke up this morning to find that my Golden Nugget Plec had died :( it appeared to look alert with its dorsel fin highish and it was still sucked onto a ornament, only thing was it was almost completly white?

any ideas? it seemed very solid and rigid but besides the colouration there was no problems except the belly seemed a little pink maybe simply its stomach.

just wonderd why this could be? it was only about 4 inchs long its just i have another common pleco which i am also worried about as i hope this or any other fish for that matter follow

sorry for your loss, the gold nugget is one of my fave fishes

nitrates were about 15mg or what ever nothing very high they had been the same for ages and ages they had not changed

again ammonia was 0 or as close as i havnt introduced any new fish or nothing....

in regards to any other fish i have my list of them in my signature no others are behaving oddly or look different?

would it be possible it may have been an oldish fish as i never seen it grow a mm

thanks guys
paul

This is why I didn't get my Gold Nugget pleco, they aparently take a very long amount of time to get used to tank water, and they generally die off easily. Not the hardiest of fish, even the slightest change in water quality can kill them aparently. Sorry for your loss.
