Temperature?

I have Platy's Mollies and a Cory, my tank is around 80 F and I've heard that that temperature is to high for them. But I thought Platy's and Mollies were tropical and liked warmer water. The LFS I got them from says they like between 76-82 F.... is my temperature to high?

what species of cory? Some like hot, some like cool.....

The fish that you have would prefer low to mid 70's.

my otos platy and mollies tank stays at 78-80 degrees and they are very happy with it like that. The corys i do not know about tho.

It's a Panda Cory... Now I just need to figure out how to lower the temp on the heater.... how would i go about doing that? lol

If it's a pre-set heater you can't change the temp if not then you should be able to change it... at the top of the heater they will be a round ball just turn it to the temp you want (at least that's how mine works)
