Temperature.......over Heat?

Both my tanks (see signiture) temperature can creep up to practically 80*. It is the ambient temperature in the room that's doing it as both heater lights are out. I even turn them off to make sure thermo's are working ok.

It's an extremely well insulated house and I have as many windows open as i can without saying 'come burgle me'

I have overhead trickle filters in the hood with good surface aggitation which should help with the oxygen levels.

Are these temperature spikes ok?

i think it will be okay, my tanks get upto that temp sometimes too

Large volumes of water hold temperature very well so since the temperature changes are gradual there should not be any problems.
