I keep all my tanks at 86 degrees F /30 degrees C, this is a shore way to keep most diseases at bay, it works for me

ferris and brewyn are showing their age if they still work in fahrenheit. Me too

Only reason I said 'proper temp' was because the new thermometer I bought for tank is only in celsius, so brewyn are you saying for my Malawi's I could keep them at 30 degrees? It just seemed a bit hot to me.

I keep mine at 30 without any problems, but I have to say my tanks are on the large size. what works for one, does not always work for another!!! I would suggest maybe keeping the temp at between 26/27. I,m 21??? years old that is.

off the top of my head I would say Iv'e meen keeping malawis for about 8 years, I have only had this lot of tanks for about 3 months now. wish I had just spent the money on one big holiday now!!!!!! LOL, a couple of weeks in Maryland would go down well!!!!!!!!
