Strange Behavior

I have a 29 gallon tank with 10 dwarf red coral x. maculatus, a p. vellifera/latipinna and a handful of guppies in a well planted tank. The tank is always lively with all the fish out and about. Today the platy are hiding. All of them. It’s like they flew away. The other fish are out and about. In anticipation of a trio of x. doidrioi making it through quarantine, I lowered the water temperature 4 degrees to 73F. Other water parameters are fine.

Hiding suggest something bullied or attack them perhaps during hte night. Vaguely i think molly can be a bit of a bully at times.

I do agree with @anewbie. They could be hiding because of those mollies.
Btw, if it's your intention to put those Xenotoca doadrioi in the same tank as the others, they may nip the fins of those sailfin mollies at some point.
