Hi last night i was rearranging my bettas tank and unplugged the heater but forgot to plug it back in till this morning. The temp was at 16 C :shout: this morning would this do an long term damage to him or will he be ok? Its back up to temperature now.
Thanks
Lloyd

if he's behaving fine now it shouldn't be an issue. 16c could quite easily occur in the wild habitat of Bettas

Hi thanks he is looking fine, he seemed ok this morning as well, i will keep an eye on him and treat him to some bloodworms and a nice early water change i think.

I had that happen to me a few weeks ago when a family member 'borrowed' the heaters plug for awhile and forget to plug it back in when they'd finished. All fish are still alive and healthy now. Only problem I did have is that it wiped out my batch of fry... but at the same time the species of fry they were aren't meant to be able to survive in my pH anyways... so it could well have just been coincidence. :D
