I haven't been on here in forever! I had to give away most of my fish and the tanks due to a move...

I have a 30g set up and running, its had (boring) fish in it ever since I moved. A friend wants to buy the only 2 fish I have in the tank off of me... and I'm ready for some new fish, and to get back in the game :D

Anyway... I'm debating on a new set-up and everything. Planted or not planted, I've gotten new decor, I just can't decide how to change it because I'm not sure what I want to put in it!!

I've never had a tank this size - I don't want to overcrowd!! Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
I would love to have a Convict Cichlid or two, but I'm afriad the tank may be too small?? I have also fallen in love with the Red Rainbow Shark (Labeo erythrurus) because there's some at my lfs that the owners say they bred... I've read conflicting things on the fish's compatability and my tank size (30gal USA...)

I just can't decide! Help! LOL

I would keep it to just the pair of convicts with nothing else in the 30 gallon if you want the convicts. if you do have a pair then I would recomend not putting anything else in with them as they get quite territorial when mating.

thanks for the reply :good:

I don't actually want a pair because I don't have anywhere for the fry to go -_-

so, one of each isn't a good idea, then? :/
