Hey, i've posted this in the oddball section too as im after something 'different' to add to my community tank

but who said it has to be an oddball eh?

Current stock

Approx 25 x Tetras - Neons, Glowlight and Silvertips
1 x Ellioti
1 x Ruby Shark
3 x Bamboo Shrimp

More shrimp? The thing with shrimp is that they like to hide, or at least mine does. I think where they were hiding they've exhausted the food source so they now venture out to the front of the tank to look for food, so I see more of them now.

Sorry should of added, i'd prefer it to be a mid to top dweller

not to keen on more shrimp, like yours mine have come to the front to look for food which is cool

How about some gouramis? I used to hate them, but have now fallen in love with them. I have 3 morphs of the 3-spot variety. Looks lovely in my tank.

Gourami could work.... but again not really my cup of tea,

I'm so awkward! lol

I think a trip to a few stores is in order this weekend, no doubt something will jump out and scream "Buy Me!"

I think the "problem" is you have small fishes in your tank. Obvious suggestions would be something medium or large, but they could eat your neons. A shoal of 25 must be quite stunning to watch. All I can think of is gouramis as they have very small mouth for their size. I'm sure there are other fishes in that category. Not sure whether the ellioti would eat the neons too when it gets bigger...

Yer i dont make things easy for myself

The tetras are great to watch, they spend most of their time grouped together. I was assured at the shop the ellioti should be fine with my tetras

so here's hoping they are right lol

I would normally go for the easy option of a small pleco, but they poo so much !!!

Just a thought but how would rams be in my tank? what im thinking is if i get something bottom dwelling it may "force" my tetras to swim and stay a bit higher?
