Ok so today I took the incentive to finish off my 30G project, i bought a large piece of african root and some sand and some rocks to make caves. I have a few questions, 1: how long should i soak the root. 2: What else should i put in. 3: how long will it take the sand to settle, I washed it all day today but its still floating.

hi I can only tell you that for safety boil the root to kill bacteria, after that your good to go
if you mean to make it stay in the bottom it depends. some take a long time. you will have to hold the piece to the bottom for a wile

2.- you can put what ever you like just be sure that it will not kill the fish. maybe some natural plants that looks good to me.

You help lots and yeah i boiled it and its soaking, i was thinking it would bleed but its been in there for like....12 hours wit no bleeding.

Do you have anything you would recommend stocking it with?
