hi i need a bit of help. i have a 10 g tank when ive woke up this morning all but 1 fish has died. i had 5 galaxy rasboras and yesterday i bought 4 endlers live berers and 2 small cherry shrimps the tank has been running for 4 months after fishless cycling. i aclimitised the fish as per usual and when i went to bed they all looked fine. I have tested the water this morning and the results was:

ammonia 0

nitrites 0

nitrates 30

ph 7.0

temp 76

this is not unusual for my tank i have now done a 50% water change but im left with 1 shrimp and 1 rasbora which do not look healthy

anyone got any ideas or advice?

many thanks

none at all checked all the dead fish and couldnt see any sign of deasise the last rasbora is looking very lethargic but dosnt look like its gasping for breath

Have you used any sprays ( like bug killer or something like that ) around the tank? Did you put anything toxic in the aquarium...

Cheers...

Sorry to hear of your loss,,, Have you checked the temp., has there been a fault in the heater maybe electrocution....just a thought

not sure how to check o2 levels heater seems fine and no bug sprays or sprays used near tank just got in from wedding and found my last galaxy rasbora dead now just 1 cherry shrimp which looks ok not sure what to do next. if you don't know what has happened then failure is not your fault  I am sure that you do feel p***ed off at this distressing time but don't give up as so many do, dust yourself off on keep going. This forum will see you through. The stats you have achieved are as good as perfect so you obviously have the skill, the problem is not caused by anything you seem to have done...........a heart felt good luck for the future and hope to see you on here again soon with a much happier report :good:

cheers doresy for tem ralleying words. do you think i should clean the tank down and start again?

had a very similar thing happen fish just suddenly dying
water perfect(honestly)
my husband put in a polyfilter to clear any toxins, this has shown a result which indicated aluminium poisoning
we are at a loss to where this might have come from.Does anyone have an idea?
Might be an idea to try the polyfilter to see if it removes something and then you can restart your tank

Has any household chemicals gotten into the tank, been painting or sprayaing near the tank.
If not the new fish fetched something deadly into the tank.

no chemicals or sprays used near. I was thinking bout the new fish bringing something nasty
