Tank Update

I dont want to sound stupid but I will say anyway.

With the lights what do I need to go for as there are a few around, I currently have Hagen ones no idea what they are, as they came with the tank, this is all new to me,

Also I have an aquaone cf1000 filter, can you over fill your filter with media? and is there any specific fine media to use or can you put any in?

The lights are best to be with a kelvin rating between 5500k - 11 000k (this is the colour spectrum) as long as you have enough light then don't worry to much about the K. To work out how much light you have do this um:

total wattage/ total US gallons = WPG (watts per gallon)

Once you've got it you will probobaly think - how did i not understand that?

The tank has Tropica Wood, so little or no tanin leaching. as for particles in the water, use som good quality foam or wadding
