Well been pretty busy with school and such lately and i've now decided to do something with my empty 10 gallon tank.
But im not quite sure what to do with it yet.
I want it to simply be freshwater. Was thinking of planted but open to anything.
Suggestions please for themes and stocking.
In the tank right now is just black sand.

hmm you could do a planted hill, if you have loads more black sand left...

basically build a slope of black sand from the back *quite high up* to the front quite low, and heavily plant it.

or to make it easier get some plastic tubs of different heights and put them at the bottom weigh them down with the black sand and some stones and plant it?

fish: Betta? or maybe a shoal of those little fish with orange bits near the eyes, they're really small, think they are a kind of tetra?

My ten Gallon and love it:

4 Red Eye Tetras
7 Cherry Shrimp
5 Ghost Shrimp
2 Amano Shrimp
2 Bambo Shrimp
10 Small Asian Clams

You can also do Neon or Cardinal Tetras like 8 of them or H. Rasboras. I don't like tinny fish. THey died to offen.

2 or 3 Dwarf Frogs
Cories
Snails
Glowlight Tetras
Diamond Tetras

10 ADFs and a few apple snails.

2 dwarf puffers

cherry shrimp

pygmy corydoras

Thanks you guys.
Do you think hatchet fish would work, or is the ten gallon too small for a group of 4?

i dont mean to hijack the thread or anything but can you further explain the asian clams? I find that very interesting as I've heard of freshwater clams in tanks but not "small asian clams".
