hi all, i found a site that has a stocking calculator... www DOT aq advisor DOT com its where you put tank dimentions, filter info and you pick what fish you would like and it tells you reccomened ph,temp and some other useful info...so my questions are....
1. has anyone used this and found it to be an accurate estimation tool..
2.my filter isnt listed i have an (moray)aqua one 320(for upto 100ltrs)...anyone know what i should write in the "user defined" space to be able to use this calculator
3.lastly...i have a 75ltr/16.5gallon tank, i would like 3 peppered cory,3(fake) julli cory, 3 guppy, 2 balloon molly and 2 platy....do i have enough filteration/tankspace for these fish....my tank is relatively new so i have been adding 1 fish every week i have 1 fake julli and 2 perrered cory so far......

thanks, mrsm :)

There's a reason that site is blocked from being linked to from this. That should be a clue to your question.

so its rubbish then....thought it could have been, hence me asking on here...so any responce to question number 3 then?? dont want anything to exotic..."easy" to keep fish :good:

Its like anything. It works as a guide but care needs to be taken in its use. For example it takes no account of substrate, planting etc.

I'm not a stocking expert but what I would say (and I know others have eluded to it in other threads) concentrate on getting 6+ of one species of Cory instead on 2 here and 3 there. They really will appreciate it. I would be tempted to try and rehome your julli and stock the peppers accordingly.

However, 3 of each is just about ok and certainly better than the current situation.
