Tank Stalled But Recovered, How Do I Keep Ph Up?

So I really dont want to keep doing water changes to keep the PH at 7 because I get water stains on the rug so my gf tells me

Can I buy PH Increase or PH UP at my lfs and just be done with it?

These will just keep the Ph constantly moving up and down, which when you come to get fish, will cause them lots of stress

however once i do get fish, ill do a 100% water change thus making my water all one PH correct?

most people don't recommend trying to change/alter pH in anyway, most just stock around the pH
