Tank Rescape

Decided that as i'm heading into new world cichlids that my tank needed a more natural look.It's a Rena Aqualife, about 350 ltrs, running 2 1200 ltr ph filters. so i've gone from

currently moving my smaller fish to a new tank but i bought a couple of juvi elliotis and festivums.

i asked for a pair but he said they were too young to be absolutely certain of the sex. camera phone pics so not the best.

the elliotis look like a pair to me, if you look at the anal and dorsal fin they are different and look exactly like my pair.

i've been wanting some for a while but they are hard to get hold of near me. i think they are a stunning type of cichlid.

would you say the girl is the bottom one ?

yes I would say the female is the bottom one, they look like they are at sexual maturity, mine laid eggs when theybwas smaller than the ones you have.

i will put that in my other tank. i was so torn as its another hiding spot, but your right.

Hoof the bridge out. Love the elliotis. I can never find them in the whole of Northern Ireland.

yeah, this is the first time i had seen them in my LFS. hardly any left when i went back to get them 2 days later

it looks a grainy picture. too rubbish to enter fish of the month ?
