Hi, on average what is the price of a 36 inch by 12 by 15 aquarium (just the glass box) in your area? If you buy online a link would be good, just that I need an estimate atm

thanks

What that in gallons or litres.

I dont see why you need gallons or litres to work out the price of a tank! It's only in the US they go by volume to describe a tank size!

but a simple quick calcualation tells me it's 23UK gallons or 105 litres

Wish I could of got one that cheap then.
Paid £120 for a 27 gal though it was a juwel no cabinet can't stand the things.

You get what you pay for with juwels..... Try buying all the kit separately to set up a bare tank cheaper than buying a juwel that comes complete with everything and has a nice finish. It works out quite a bit more buying it all separately if you buy decent kit!

Not buying anymore tanks now so not bothered lol.
The glass is good with juwels but the equipment is crap.

I have just got a 18" tank made by a company in sunderland (wearside) for £12, its dimensions are 18x16x12. I think they advertise on aquarist-classified (or something like that) I guess you would get that tank for about £25 max!!!

WRT Jewel aquaria, why do they make the cabinets and hoods on all but the basic reckord range so horribly tacky??? and why are the apparently crap bits of kit included sooooo expensive to replace? i much prefer a more classic setup!!

Are they? :( Why? I'm not doubting you or anything, but my tank is a juwel, I'mjust wondering what I can expect to go wrong?

A lot of people state that the filters arent very good and the lights fail often.

But that said, mine was my first 'tank' compared to small tanks with Bettas and has been running for about 18months now and only had to replace one bulb once so far - so not too bad by my accounts!

Sure the equipment isnt upto the standard of a decent external filter etc but for an all in one I am happy with its performance - as are my fish :)
