Tank Mates

Hi,

I have currently purchased a pair of sunspot brevis "shellies"

I am wondering what type of fish would make good tank mates

The tank is not big and i would like maybe mid to top fish

I was thinking maybe White cloud mountain minnows ???

Or any other small cichlids

I am open to and advice

What size is the tank?

i belive Shellies generally do better in a speices tank

hi

i have a fluval egde tank, so very limited in what i can stock it with, i was at first only going to have the brevis but i think it needs a few fish just to bring the tank to life

definately don't want to be adding more fish, as far as i am aware its too small for hte 2 you alreday have

Shell dwellers allthough small should really be kept in tanks about 20 gallons as the males will take up territories and need a bit more space per inch than community fish.

I believe your tank is already plenty full. and the fish you have are also territorial
