Tank Mates For Betta

I am strongly considering getting my Betta a larger tank, namely a 60L Juwel. I was bidding on one on Ebay but it went too high for a second hand tank, can get a brand new one for £18 more, which I'd rather.

So, if I got the 60L, what could I have with him and 2 large Amano shrimps? Obviously nothing nippy or he'd go for. Harlequin Rasboras? Endlers?

I was thinking of getting some Corys for the bottom as well.

I have kept my bettas with rasboras in the past with no trouble and have one right now that is living in my 45 gallon endler tank. Either one would make a good choice for a tank that size.

Hi there, I have peppered corys and pygmy corys in with male betta, and my female betta tank, so peppered corys are a thumbs up, also apple snails are great, friends that clean your tank can't be bad! lol xxx

You could even up your amanos to 6

im also doing the same - we've just got a new tank with my male betta in it, and lots of fry - the fry should be going tomorrow, so he'll be all on his own! gonna get some leopard corys for the bottom, but wanted something shoaling for the mid/top.

Ok, so the tank is approx 45L. What could I put in there? Keen for some bottom dwellers to keep the bottom clean. Corys?

Also, would Threadfin Rainbowfish work in that tank?

I have some sand for the bottom and it will be lightly planted.

I think my 6 pygmy corys and 8 panda corys would do perfect in there lol
How long is the tank? anything under 60cm is to small for threadfins IMO. Im not sure how the betta would get on with the male longer fins aswell.

It's 39L, just looked on the Clear Seal website. So, 10g.

Yeah, it's about 46cm long. Nevermind about the Threadfins, may be too much of a risk with a grumpy Betta anyway

I think I'll get 6/8 smallish Corydoras then

i introduced my lil guy to his new tank mates earlier, 7 neon tetras. he was quite excited! now hes either asleep or sulking
