Tank Is Lacking Some Form Of Cichlid

If i was to just add a few Rotties in there, how many could i go for what with my stocking as it is. I like odd numbers but want more than one, my worry with 2 is getting 2 males, or is this not an issue? Then again in saying that i kinda like the idea of getting one centre piece rotkiel sev.


The more i look at them the more i want them.

Not only the star attraction, the star attraction from Star herself. Yay Haha. I'm very tempted i must say. Although i have just wondered about a festivum? No experience with these, and information seems quite contradictory so far.


What do people think of these?


I think i prefere the idea of a Rotkeil

I did have for a while in with the rotkeil pair, a pair of greens, I had no issues with the males fighting. I think if you had 3 though 2 would bully the outcast.

Can you tell the sex of your collosal group of Rotties Lesley? If so, i think i'd be tempted. If you can tell them apart i'd take a male+female if possible.


I've always wanted sevs, but found them to be too big. A rottie is the perfect one for me i think.

Lesley, if you hadnt of been over my shoulder i would have stashed Rainbow somewhere wet and ran He's a wonderfull fish, but one of many also! Your house is a fishy wonder to behold, all the fish i want - you have. Atleast i know if there are fry from them i know i can get some


Jethro is a beast! Can't wait for my inherited Gibbi's to get like that, albeit in probs the next decade perhaps.

Thank you so kindly for the Rotties. To come away with 3 was a pleasant surprise. I'm confident i got three stunners too. They seem somewhat timid currently, understandable i suppose. One has decided the 1.5" gap between substrate and the base of the internal filter is perfect to lodge himself/herself under sideways. Dopey things


I promise to get pics up of the lil rotties growing up, and definately when (hopefully) they get their 6x2x2

I do find it so funny sometimes when people visit, they go round all the tanks and seem to get stuck at Jethro's tank Glad you like the Rotties, they shouldnt take long to settle, just feed them and they will be well happy, they should eat anything as they get a good mix here, any problems give me a yell

Oh and when you left Harry the red spot stopped playing dead! he was just showing off because he likes to be the centre of attention.
