I've had a tropical community tank for over a year. I ent out of town for a few days, and my tank was destroyed! My fish had ick and tail rot.

I had almost 50 swordtail fry...I'm down to three.

I know how to cure diseases and everything but I'm at a loss now after losing three last night after three days of treeatment.

I plan on taking my water in to be tested today.

I've never had quite this bad of a problem...only once with goldfish. I don't wnat a repeat of that, any help would be appreciated...The tank is not overstocked, 35g, I haven't added any sick fish to the tank, and nothing I haven't changed any chemicals or anything.

all i can suggest until we know the test results for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate is to do a water change and add extra airation to the tank as some meds remove the oxygen

Need to get your water tested then post results please.
Have you finished treating for whitespot.

High nitrates. Since its the end of the nitrogen cycle, I'm assuming my friend I had watching them accidently overfed them. I've lost seven adult fish now. I changed the water added chemicals to lower the levels and added salt.
