Any light in the room from whatever source will reflect off a glass aquarium. The reflections are off the outside glass surfaces.

At night when I decide to watch a movie after I put the fish to bed I just cover my 55 gallon tank with a small blanket. I have a 60 inch flat scene and the blanket keeps the tank dark.
