Hey i bought a rio 180 3 weeks ago and had to wait to get paid today to fill it up etc, added about 20 liters per sey and in the back left there is bubbles repeatedly rising from the black silicone. every time i push them away the just come back and have been now for the best part of ten minutes. they get bigger each time then float to the surface allowing more to grow. i cant however find water outside the tank....

Its fairly normal to have bubbles on the glass, filters etc when first filling a tank, especially if filling with cold water, they are just gas bubbles and as the temperature of the water rises the bubbles dissipate.

I wouldn't be so sure thats what it is though if the water is just 'sitting' in the tank, AND the OP clears the bubbles away, only to see more rising from a specific spot. Although that sounds more like water travelling INTO an enclosed space, as usually you wouldn't get bubbles coming up from a leak, theres no need, the water would just come out, and the air would be pushed away.

Fill the tank, leave for a couple of days - air bubbles will disappear.

Its called super-aeration. Happens all the time when you do big water changes.

PS - Guessing this is your first tank - if so, take a read of the links at the bottom of my sig!
