Ok so here’s the fish I’m considering for my 30L tank, which would be the best option?

1 male betta

+ …

BLUE PEARL SHRIMP * Neocaridina sp. zhangjiajiensis *
Or…
ORANGE SUNKIST SHRIMP * caridina propinqua *
Or…
RED RILI SHRIMP * Neocaridina heteropoda Rili *
Or…
SAKURA SHRIMP
Or…
3x corries (bronze)
or…
African Dwarf Frog

+ …

10x(?) Boraras brigattae * mosquito chilli *
Or...
10X(?) Microrasbora erythromicron * Emerald Dwarf Rasbora *

Mind you I’ll go off you lot for the exact number of critters to go in a tank and which combinations would work.

I have been doing a fishless cycle for the past month now and the values are finally starting to look good.

I’ve already got some moss and 2X Anubia (as well as a little bridge) and am planning to get a little coconut house for them as well. Owww, and some java ferns. (Getting to the fish shop without a car is a bit of an adventure).

Do the shrimp and the frogs go together?
Can I mix and match the shrimp or should I stick to 1 or 2 species?

Don’t worry, I’m not expecting to fit all of them in :p
And I’ll change my bottom covering if necessary. I want everyone to be as happy as possible :D

Give yourself a break. The neocaradina will all be fine together as far as aggression goes. That does not mean that they will not cross with each other to produce somewhat less desirable shrimp, ones that don't have the distinctive colors.
I would simply make my own coconut shelter. I like to eat coconut and getting a shell is easy once you have removed the nut meat and eaten it. As a side issue, the food version will be far cheaper than the tank decor in most cases.

Lol, never so much as touched a coconut in my life :p Will a big kitchen knife work to even cut the cave entrance out?

And I am quite relaxed
But I'd still rather get it checked out though, than show up in a couple of days/weeks looking for a solution to x amount of problems...

You lot are the experts after all :)

Lol... in my student flat I only just about have a hammer

Well I'll figure something out. Good that you gave me the warning not to attempt it Tizer

Otherwise my fish might have ended up with some rather personal live food

I just wanted to add that Galaxy Rasboras (Celestial Pearl Danios) would be a option as well. The Petco in my area got them in, so I have two at the moment but will be getting more once they get more in. I think they are gorgeous! Would love to see pictures once it is all set up and running! Best of luck! :D
