Tank Capacity

Hi,

Can anyone give me the water capacity of a tank who's dimensions are 48x18x12, I have checked out the calculators on the site and they don't really help me.

p.s. I'm getting this tank free and they guy who is giving it to me can't remember the capacity. I'm just trying to figure out how much I'll need to spend on it to get it up and running, as it's basically naked (i.e just the tank and it's stand)!

Its around 44 US gallons. Wish you luck with it

total volume of air will be
170 ltrs (44.91 US gal)

total volume of water will be dependant on the displacement of substrate and decor etc.
A 1" layer of sand will displace approx 15ltr (3 USgal)
