5.30pm
darined main tank, moved fry to middle tank (20gall), stripped/cleaned both filters, used new air pump and added 3rd sponge to 20 gall, washed and added new sand, still had some water in when adding sand, added rocks, just a rough set up just now, lots of gunk from filters all over plave and tank full of cold water, brrr, took ages filling it lol... Tomorrow will clean the bottom and give the rocks a quick tidy up, the ocean rock does not work on the black sand ha ha so will look for something more natural.... On a side note I took loads of pics but they were all blurred, the tank is so dark now , would look cool with paracyps but I'm not getting them lol... One of the filters would not prime so held me up a bit... will try getting some pics up tomorrow, heres the one I took half way through the process, who said fish keeping was tidy ?
9.15 pm , job finished, whisky and look forward to a weeks holiday from work

Oh bless!! Hubby and I have just laughed at your photo because our house looks similar whenever I change things around 
Despite the craziness, it all looks like it`s coming together and no matter how much stress/hassle we go through, I think us fishkeepers always think it`s worth it once everything`s done and we can sit back and take pride in the hard work

lol. I finished tidying up yesterday. It is a ball ache but good when youve done.
I was going to tidy it all today, play around with the sand and rocks a bit and hopefully try get some pics up, the tank is very dark with the balck sand and blue marine bulb, unfortunatley I was feeling a bit iffy yesterday and woke at 2.00 this morning
, not very well ha ha some kind of mystery virus, that's what I get for taking a holidy Hopefully it's just one of these 24hr things, 
Smoothed out all the sand today, rearranged the rocks, although I have to admit I'm really not 100% happy with the look, perfectionists eh 
Moved the 2 Male Sumbu back to the main tank, was difficult locating the 1 adult Female as most of her fry are not that much smaller than her now
Against my better judgement I moved the yellow BN Plec to the main tank, will probably look into rehoming the 2 brown ones, he was in there all of 5 minutes when he found a corner and started churning up all the substrate with his flappy yellow tail, my lovely black sand
On a plus side the adult Sumbu coloured up almost instantly, the small female is on the same side as the larger male, the smaller "alpha" male is purple, almost black displaying to her trying to woo her over, I'll give it till tea time and I'm sure she'll be back with her man
Will try get some pics. up but the tank is so dark I think I will need to succumb and buy a digicam when I have the cash, cheers for looking

I returned home from the chemist with a shopping bag full of "remedies"
at 3 this afternoon, as predicted she was over his side of the tank The other male has chose the rock that is a cave on the far left so looking good so far
I will have to evict the BN Plec first chance I get, caught him chasing the male Sumbu out of the lava rock
On a downside I contacted Mike and he is down on the numbers I ordered
It should be ok next week so I suppose I can hang off a bit longer

Hmmm, I`m not sure what to do about the ebay listing.......I just feel for the poor guy, he obviously loves his Tangs from the details
Hubby has already said we could put that tank in the kitchen diner if I really want to get it, but there are some bids that have been made so hopefully someone who knows what they`re doing will buy the setup and then I won`t have to.Do you not think that the plec and male Sumbu will maybe sort out their own places once they`ve been in there a little while?
Glad the female Sumbu has sorted her emotions out......I dunno, us females huh Fingers crossed the numbers at Mikes will be ok

I guess it will all depend on how well the Xenos can look after themselves, my bn plecs get chased away if they come too close to the punks so luckily it`s not a problem for them to be in the tank
Typical fish and fry, try and take a pic and they hide!! My lucipinnis keep doing the same, I haven`t managed to take a decent pic of them yet
The ebay tank......there are some bids on it now so I probably won`t bother. I`ll definately setup another Tang tank at some point with a different level of aggression so am happy to wait. Plus, that guy is keeping the fish in RO water (which I think strange for Tangs) and I don`t have enough RO water left to make a slow change to my hard water for them, so maybe it`s a good job I don`t feel the need to bid

Managed to get out of the house, quick look in Dobbles and nearly bought a large light tube, I bought a small reflector, it does make a difference to the tank, it's still dark but not as blue looking so I like it. Stripped the fishbox and redone it AGAIN, still not happy with it, git some java moss from another forum member....
As for the stock I am at the stage of using the money and the delivery money along with trading fry and changing the stock list, same type of stuff, just a bit different

, so no worries I can get the fish delivered next week, I'm cool with that, he's offered me a deal on the Duboisi when I'm ready for them , I don't even have the tank yet Then he mentions he's doing a run to Dundee in the very near future and would be keen to take some Sumbu fry from me and the bonus neing fish will be same day delivery rather than overnight with the courier... danger danger will robinson......
What if I use the money sent added to the money that would have been for the delivery plus the value of the sumbu fry and get some different stock
To add to my bizarre confusion my mtr was going to get my monster sized filter in March, then she offers to get it early, then tonight she says instead of the filter why don't I hang off , use the wee bit of pocket money I have and she'll pay the rest for the big tank
Maybe I should stick to the original stock which I've paid for, give Mike the fry as a trade for Dubs, get the big tank then rob the post office to but a filter for it

I think I need to read your post a few times before I can get the jist of it.....I`m blonde so easily confuzzled and I am sooooo tired that my brain seems to have taken a long coffee break at the moment
