heyy everyone
can i put Tanganyika Shell Dwellers in my 70 litre community tank?

i have
2x guppies
2x silver tip tetras
1x rtbs
5x neon tetra
1x algae eater

is there any fish i will need to remove in order to get some of these?

thanks :good:

Unfortunately, no.
They can only be kept with other Tanganikyan species as they have different water requirements.

thanks :good: do you think it would be kay if i sell all of my other fish ( which are in prestine condition) and put some Tanganyika Shell Dwellers in?

What type of decor do you have in the tank?
Shell-dwellers prefer sand and plenty of shells to hide/breed in. They also prefer a higher PH so would be worth adding some ocean/tufa rock to help buffer it.

my tank is fairly bare as im in the process of redecorating it, so would it be ok to add these fish if i add sand and some new ornaments?

Not so much ornaments as shells and a bit of rock.
Sand will be fine as they like to dig and create their own territory.

another quick question ( sorry for all the questions im just abit unsure of what i can and cant get  ) would it be possible to put yellow labs in on there own in my 70 litre aquarium?

Don't apologise for the questions.
The tank isn't really big enough for any Malawi Cichlids as they are aggressive and need plenty of swimming space.
Even though the Yellow Labs are stunning fish, you'll get just as much pleasure watching your shell-dwellers!

thanks :good: im just getting some money together and ill be getting my tank set up by next week hopefully, so illl let you know how i get on with them

You won't regret it!
I kept Neolamprologus Multifasciatus and bred them too. I used to spend hours watching them redesign the tank by scooping up sand and dumping it elsewhere. I also loved the fact that they were so protective over their young.
