As it`s a few weeks down the line, I thought I`d add some of the more recent pics of my Tang tank. I`ve had some problems with the cyprichromis dying but MA have struck a deal on some replacement ones for me today. I`ve moved my mulifasciatus into their own tank where they`ll hopefully continue to breed, I no longer have the leleupi but have added 2 calvus to the tank:
New healthier looking cyps:
New black calvus?
Previous calvus:
Both calvus?
And just for good measure, a recent pic of my marlieri
Generally the Tanganyika setups only tend to have vallis and anubia to mimic the natural habitat IF there are any plants at all. As you wouldn`t be looking at a heavily planted tank I would think the standard lighting would be adequate
Okay cool, well it's a consideration since the tank has yet to be set up, all I've done is remove the Juwel corner box for the filter, I still need to buy the Cabinet, a filter, hood and the lighting yet.
Just got other things to pay for first
Plus I want something that'll look nice and relaxing in the study.
Would love for it to be a Malawi but it isn't big enough, and I think I may be pushing it with the Tanganyika's too
I think you would definately be pushing it for Malawi`s/Mbuna but maybe once you`ve got the tank ready you should post in the African/Old world Cichlids section? You`d get much more advice in relation to stocking a tank that size, there are a lot of smaller species that could work well together. Don`t have doubts before you`ve started
Crikey, you could get a second hand tank for a lot less than that price, hood and all!!

You`d probably be able to pick up a decent bigger tank for less than £100 on fleabay
