Just been looking through this month's PFK and I came across a mini Tanganyika biotope. I've been trying to think of something different I could do with my empty Roma 90 and this looks like it could make a great addition to my office. The question is, would Neolamprologus brichardi or kribs work and if so what would be the best number to keep? A Roma 90 is roughly 60x30x50cm.

Hi

If kribs and if that's to be a spices tank I would keep 1 pair due to size of tank and maybe choose something that would swim right above surface if there is something like that from Tang

thanks

Yup brand new subscriber and this was in my first issue :hyper: I've been trying to think of something to do with my 90l since I bought my Rio 400 last month lol.

Heck I don't mind bending the rules a bit with regards to a biotope, any top dwellers that would go nicely with the kribs that would be suitable for a 2ft tank? Perhaps something not too active?

Thanks for the list Dan but apart from the Brichardi they are a bit out of my price range if I've got to have more than a few.

Look for private breeders mate...alot of my Mbunas that are £12+ in the hsops i got for 50p each in bulk online...the postage is usualy steep but its worth it overall :)

I've found some Julidochromis Marlieri for less than half the price of one online store but are they suitable for a 90l tank?

*edit: nevermind found some Transcriptus which are suitable lol. Would I get away with having 6 of them?

Also, *squeal* can I make a background like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS_1WE9HMR0 from pieces of slate or is there another method?
