My 75 gallon is now ready for fish ! Hopefully, if nothing comes up, I am going fish hunting next weekend.

Since I got this tank last May, and I have, slowly and patiently, worked on it, I think I am happy with it. ( still can't believe my patience lol )

I planned on pictus catfish at first. But have since decided on Angels. I have read so many places that pictus required a lot of hiding places, and I don't have a lot of them. And to be honest I don't want pvc pipes in my tank as I am not good at disguising things.. The wood I have does not offer a lot hiding places as it is branch type wood. And I also read that the pictus long sharp wiskers will chop the plants all to pieces. So, any thoughts on that?

And so I have decided on Angels. But, when I get to actually go fish shopping, I might change my mind if I can't find the Angels I want. And I am also going to look for a pleco and some sort of cory.

Lots of bubbles or a few bubbles?

It just depends on my mood. LOL

Pleco-wise see if your shop can order L183 for you. They stay relatively small and look stunning. A male and two female would do just fine in that tank.

Cory wise, get emerald green corys, or my favorite, sterbai corys.

omg omg omg I can't even stand how GORGEOUS this is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man are you ever going to have Lucky fish!!!!

As for plecos... how about a Gold Nugget Pleco. They grow 6-9 inches and are black with Bright Yellow polka dots and Yellow flash on the ends of their fins! They are stunners!!

I have no experience and have never read up on Angels, but they sure are pretty and seem to come in lots of different forms. My LFS had some bright blue and black striped ones that were really good looking.

Have you looked into Rainbow fish? I use to think I wasn't a fan of their shape but man they come in the most amazing colors and look just Gorgeous in a big tank like this.

I'm super excited to see what you get!!!!

75 gallon is IMO the best all around sized tank and I LIKE YOUR layout!

As you have with the tank so far... stay patient with your fish selection - don't settle on just what's available. There are so many great fish, it's hard... but study, remain patient and get the fish you really want...

I like the look of "fewer bubbles".

I too look forward to seeing your additions!

Thank you all ! I have worked really hard on this tank. Seriously, I can't say it enough, I am amazed at my own patience.

The Gold Nugget Pleco sounds really pretty! I have never seen one. But I will look around. As to the L183, I will look that up, I don't know what that pleco looks like at all. Not sure I ever heard of it. I am going to a city that has, I know, 4 pet stores. So I plan on shopping around and not just settling for what I can find in one trip. I am pretty sure I will buy something, like cories, because I know that I want them. I don't know kind of cory I will end up with, but I hope I can find something other than the albino. I have those in my 55 and I love them, but I want different ones in my 75. As for Angels, I have something set in my mind and I will shop until I find them. Even if I end up having to order them. I want something unusual, not the just the black and sliver striped. There is nothing wrong with those, but I really want something more unusual. Blue and black sounds very unusual, at least to me.

I like the fewer bubbles as well. I flip flop back and forth, but I usually go back to fewer.
